Port of Felixstowe, the UK’s largest container port, deploys Powerway in harness with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) to deliver the complete Quality and Content Management solution.

Port of Felixstowe, the UK’s largest container port, deploys Powerway in harness with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) to deliver the complete Quality and Content Management solution.

The Company first approached Syncronology in August last year with a view to adding to SharePoint’s considerable document and content management capabilities with Powerway’s powerful yet easy to use compliance and control features.

The Company is pursuing a fully electronic approach to Quality management and the team responsible for maintaining their ISO9001:2000 system will be using Powerway modules for automated document authoring, auditing, corrective and preventive action.

The main focus, however, has been on linking document review and approval activity in Powerway to trigger the release and distribution process via SharePoint. Syncronology’s technical team were able to demonstrate how this would be done through a proof of concept exercise and that paved the way to the decision to implement the system.

We look forward greatly to working with the team from Port of Felixstowe in the coming months and years to ensure another successful Powerway implementation.
