Singlepoint set to go LIVE at Mentholatum |
The name behind the famous Deep Heat and Oxy skin care products, Mentholatum, are all set to begin
the roll out of Singlepoint™ for managing a range of key business processes.
Based in East Kilbride, the company has built a global operation spanning every continent and is set for
further success as it moves into new markets and adds to their already extensive product range.
We first met with Mentholatum some time ago and began work on specifying the system towards the end
of 2008. Initially, Singlepoint™ will be deployed for change control, complaints management and
document control but plans are already afoot to automate other key business processes.
Director of Research & Quality Development, Colin Brown, takes up the story. “We liked the look of
Singlepoint™ right from the very first demonstration. It’s got the flexibility and the power that we’re looking
for and in Syncronology we can see a team of people that will offer the highest levels of expertise and
customer service that we expect.”
The current change control system in particular will benefit greatly from the Singlepoint™ approach of one unified system handling the workflow, data, documents, artwork, notifications and reports and will eliminate several spreadsheets and databases and will close the communications gap caused by the manual process currently in use.
Colin Brown explains: “I know we’re not alone in executing key business processes like changes to product specifications and artwork manually. We’ve lived with the downsides of those types of processes thus far but we need to move on; as our business grows we need visibility and speed of delivery of information. Having reviewed Singlepoint™ and had the Syncronology team produce some proof of concept pieces based around our existing processes we are confident that the system can deliver on our objectives in these areas.”
We look forward to working with the entire team at Mentholatum and to bringing you all further news as the roll out continues. You can learn more about Mentholatum by visiting www.mentholatum.co.uk
